Bristol Orienteering Klub (BOK) is the orienteering club for Bristol and surrounding areas.  With a membership of about 300, BOK is one of the largest clubs in the United Kingdom.

    Dave Urch is stepping down from co-ordinating the Saturday Winter Series in order to focus on organising the British Championships.  If you may be willing to take on the role, please contact Alan Honey for further information.  It involves looking after a set of kit (signs, etc) and taking it to events, checking risk assessments and providing a first point of contact for event organisers.

    Handicap adjusted results are now posted for the BOK Champs event held at Penpole on Wedsnesday on 25th June. Congratulations to the course winners.

    Geoff Ellis ran all three legs for the 'Good Bad & Ugly' team at last Sunday's Adams Avery relays in a staggering time of 89 minutes.

    And if you thought that was impressive, he is planning to run 7 marathons in 7 days from St Bees Head to Robin Hood'...

About BOK

Orienteering is an exciting and challenging outdoor sport enjoyed by people of all ages, abilities and backgrounds. It involves competitive navigation using a map and compass - competitors choose their own route between control points marked on the map. Bristol Orienteering Klub (BOK), one of the largest and most successful clubs in the United Kingdom, draws its members from Bristol and the surrounding area (including South Gloucestershire, Bath and North Somerset). We organise local orienteering events and our members take part in events all over the country. We always welcome new members - detailed information about the club and joining us can be found on the Klub page. If you would like to sample the sport at your own convenience, why not try one of the local permanent courses - to be found at Ashton Court, Blaise Castle, Leigh Woods and Bradley Stoke?
