Permanent Courses

There are numerous permanent orienteering courses throughout the United Kingdom. They are suitable for those who wish to try out orienteering or practice their skills.

Maps are readily available, but we suggest you ring and check, especially if you need a lot of maps.

The Bristol Orienteering Klub maintains three permanent courses. These are at:-

Ashton Court, Bristol

Maps £1, from the Parks Ranger at the Estate Office, next to the café by the car park on the Kingsweston Road. Tel: 0117-3532266; Mobile duty phone: 07795-445999. As the Parks Ranger is not always present at the Estate Office, it is recommended that maps are ordered in advance by telephone. Please note that the café no longer sells maps.

Worlebury Woods, Weston-super-Mare

The tourist information centre is open all week from Easter to 30 September between 9.30am and 5pm each day. The rest of the year it is open from 10am until 5pm Monday to Friday, 9.30am until 1pm and 1.30pm until 4pm on Saturday and closed on Sunday.
