Send us your photos!

The easiest way is to e-mail your image files to the Webmaster , however please be aware of the following issues:
  1. Image files can be very large and some systems impose limits on the size of an e-mail.
  2. A full size image file from a 2.0 MegaPixel camera has a typical size of 0.7MB when sent by e-mail. Image files from cameras with greater resolution are proportionally larger.
Some suggestions:
  1. Send reduced size images. A resolution of 640x480 pixels is adequate for display on the website. At this resolution, a typical image file size is 0.2MB. In Windows XP, select the images you which to send, right click and select 'Send To | Mail Receipient', select the 'Make my pictures smaller option' together with the 'Make my pictures this size: small' option.
  2. Send image files to the Webmaster's private e-mail address (refer to the printed BOK News or the printed membership list). E-mails of size 10MB and more can be received at this address.
  3. Send your image files in several e-mails, so that the relevant size limit is not exceeded.
  4. Once you have sent your image files, send a further e-mail to the Webmaster stating the number of images and e-mails you have sent. This will enable the Webmaster to check that all the images have been received.
When sending photos, please give the files descriptive filenames or supply descriptions in your e-mail.

More advanced users might like to consider uploading their image files to a file hosting/storage service and sending the webmaster instructions for access.

Publication Policy

Close-up photos of juniors will require parental permission to publish if it is thought that it might be possible to deduce the names of the subjects or the schools attended by them.

The names of juniors shown in photos will not be shown in filenames or captions, unless this is specifically requested (for which parental permission is required).
