Bristol Orienteering Klub's premier event of the year, fondly known as the BOK Trot, takes place this Sunday, 29th April 2007, at Gare Hill, near Frome. Over 500 runners are expected to attend this regional event that takes place in a challenging working forest area offering a wealth of contour and water features. If you have not yet pre-entered the event, there is still a chance to do so on-line at Fabian4 before midnight on Thursday 26th April; this will guarantee you a map and a start time. If you miss the deadline, you can still enter "on the day", subject to the availability of maps - e-mail the entry secretaries Jo and Peter Foster before 12:00 noon on Saturday to enquire about availability and reserve your map. You don't have to be a member of a club in order to take part - new faces are always welcome. If you need help or advice please ask at the enquiries tent on the day. CoursesExperienced orienteers will be competing on a full range of age-related courses. For beginners and novices of all ages, the following colour coded courses are on offer: white, yellow, orange, red and light green; these courses are graded according to technical difficulty and length (for an explanation see Resources for Beginners below).Entry FeesFrom £4 to £13 dependent on age and course (these figures include the late entry surcharge) plus £1 to hire an electronic tag (free for juniors).
