The first event in Bristol Orienteering Klub's Summer Informals Series takes place this Wednesday evening, 9th May 2007, at Penpole Woods, Shirehampton. This informal event is ideal for beginners and novices of all ages. You don't have to be a member of a club in order to take part - new faces are always welcome. If you need help or advice please ask the organiser and/or helpers on the day. LocationCar parking is in a public car park on Shirehampton Road (B4054) at national grid reference ST541772:Look out for the orienteering signs (examples here ). CoursesEasy (yellow standard) suitable for beginners, those with some experience, and wheel chair users. Moderate (light greenish) for the more experienced orienteer. Difficult (blue) for fit, experienced orienteers.Start Times6pm to 7.30pm. Courses closes at 8.30pm.Entry FeesSeniors: £2. Juniors and full time students: £1.
