The third event in Bristol Orienteering Klub's Summer Informals Series takes place this Wednesday evening, 23th May 2007, at Leigh Woods, Bristol. This informal event is ideal for beginners and novices of all ages.

You don't have to be a member of a club in order to take part - new faces are always welcome. If you need help or advice please ask the organiser and/or helpers on the day.

Location

Parking is along North Road, the minor residential road adjoining Leigh Woods, between the Clifton Suspension Bridge and A369, at national grid reference ST556730:

Courses

  • Easy (yellow standard) suitable for beginners, those with some experience, and wheel chair
    users.
  • Moderate (light greenish) for the more experienced orienteer.
  • Difficult (blue) for fit, experienced orienteers.
  • Special sprint courses for all.

Start Times

6pm to 7.30pm. Courses closes at 8.30pm.

Entry Fees

Seniors: £2. Juniors and full time students: £1.
Note: Charges are "per map", so you only pay one fee if you run as a team using a single map.

BOK's Summer Informals Series continues on Wednesday 30th May at Warmley Forest Park and continues throughout June, with the last event at Ashton Court on Wednesday July 4th.

BOK's next district event is on Sunday 10th June at Stock Hill near Priddy.
