Orienteering this Wednesday Evening, 6th June 2007, at Chew Valley School, Chew Magna


The sixth event in Bristol Orienteering Klub's Summer Informals Series takes place this Wednesday evening, 6th June 2007, at Chew Valley School, Chew Magna. This informal event is ideal for beginners and novices of all ages.

You don't have to be a member of a club in order to take part - new faces are always welcome. If you need help or advice please ask the organiser and/or helpers on the day.

Location

The school entrance is at national grid reference ST567624:
Turn left after entering the grounds and follow the orienteering signs to the car park. Please park carefully

Courses

  • Easy (yellow standard) - suitable for beginners and those with some experience.
  • Score - find as many controls as you can within a set time.
  • Wheelchair.

Start Times

School pupils only: 4pm to 5pm. BOK and public: 6pm to 7.30pm. Courses closes at 8.30pm.

Entry Fees

Seniors: £2. Juniors and full time students: £1.
Note: Charges are "per map", so you only pay one fee if you run as a team using a single map.

BOK are staging a district event this coming Sunday (10th June) at Stock Hill, Mendips. Full details in a further issue of the BOK Bulletin later this week.

BOK's Summer Informals Series continues on Wednesday 20th June at Oldbury Park, Wednesday 27th June at Blaise Castle and concludes on Wednesday 4th July at Ashton Court.
