Orienteering this Wednesday Evening, 4th July 2007, at Ashton Court, Bristol

The ninth and final event in Bristol Orienteering Klub's Summer Informals Series takes place this Wednesday evening, 4th July 2007, at Ashton Court, Bristol. This event will have a coaching clinic, where advice will be offered to anyone who wants it to improve their technique.

You don't have to be a member of a club in order to take part - new faces are always welcome. If you need help or advice please ask the organiser and/or helpers on the day.

Location

Parking is in the public car park at Ashton Court House, national grid reference ST555717:
Enter the Ashton Court estate from the Clevedon Rd (B3128) and look out for the orienteering signs (examples here ).

Courses

  • Easy (yellow standard) suitable for beginners and those with some experience.
  • Moderate (light green standard) for the more experienced orienteer.
  • Difficult (blue standard) for fit, experienced orienteers.
We recommended carrying a whistle in case of injury.

Start Times

6pm to 7.30pm. Courses close at 8.30pm.

Entry Fees

Seniors: £2. Juniors and full time students: £1.
Note: Charges are "per map", so you only pay one fee if you run as a team using a single map.

BOK's Club Championships take place on Sunday 15th July at Leigh Woods (this event is restricted to members).

The next BOK District Event, also our annual "Try Orienteering" fixture, is on Saturday 15th September at Ashton Court. More details will be available on the BOK website nearer the time.
