Orienteering this Thursday Evening, 5th June 2008, at Ashton Court, Bristol

The second event in Bristol Orienteering Klub's 2008 Summer Informals Series takes place this Thursday evening, 5th June 2008, at Ashton Court, Bristol.

The Summer Informals Series is intended to encourage beginners of all ages to take part in the exciting sport of orienteering.

Help and friendly advice will be available at each event. All you will need will be walking or jogging clothes - a compass is not even necessary for the easy courses, although you will be able to borrow one if you need.

Location

Registration will be near the Mansion House, in the open area to the west, which can be accessed via Kennel Lodge Road, Bower Ashton (off the A369).

Car parking will be in the brand new car park to the NE of the Mansion House, from which it will be about a 300m to walk to registration. Bicycles can continue to use their usual routes. As they have now started on the process of returning the old parking area to a narrow drive, registration may not be quite where it normally is. Earthmoving should be over for the day before 6pm but there may be more mud than usual!
