Orienteering this Sunday, 15th June 2008, at Purdown, Bristol

Bristol Orienteering Klub's next event takes place this Sunday, 15th June 2008, at Purdown, Bristol..

The event is particularly suitable for beginners to the sport. Families are well catered for, with a string course for young children and a range of colour coded courses suitable for all ages.

Planner Alan Honey writes: "The Purdown course layout for Sunday 15 June has been designed to provide great spectating. Early arrivals (before 1030) will be able to watch Rat Race competitors pass through. Later arrivals will be able to see competitors on all the colour coded courses. Why not bring a picnic to the start area and leave it for when you finish. It is 800m along a pavement from the car park to the start."

You don't have to be a member of a club in order to take part - new faces are always welcome. If you are a beginner, look out for the helper wearing an "ask me" tabard or simply ask at the registration tent.

Queries about this event should be directed to the organiser, Ben Moon (contact details on the Event Details webpage).
