The Orienteering Foundation is a UK charity dedicated to promoting innovation, and supporting people and projects, in orienteering, through fund-raising activities. It is a registered charity, independent of British Orienteering. It was set up with money from a bequest from Bertie & Elsie Ward, and is now raising further funds, and awarding grants. The objectives are to promote the sport of orienteering in the UK through enhancement, innovation, and alleviation of hardship. Much of its work supports schools and other projects for young people, though its objectives are not limited solely to junior orienteering.
It relies on donations. To find out more about the Foundation, and ways you can support it, click here, or visit the links page, where you can find links to this and all sorts of other orienteering related organisations.
